Anthony “AJ” Scott Poindexter Jr. is a cinematographer, editor, and visual storyteller specializing in sports media and cinematic visual production. A graduate of Penn State University with a B.A. in Film, he brings a strong foundation in storytelling, production workflow, and high-level sports coverage.
Anthony has worked with NFL Films, FOX Sports, USA Baseball, and the Houston Texans, contributing to nationally recognized projects including Hard Knocks and NFL Top 100, as well as team-based digital and visual content during the 2025–2026 NFL season. His experience spans broadcast, documentary, and digital-first storytelling in fast-paced professional environments.
At Penn State, Anthony played a key role in Penn State Football’s video production team, creating weekly motivational content, recruiting materials, and game-day visuals that supported the program’s brand and culture. He has also collaborated with NCAA Digital, NBC Sports, and Elite 11, capturing elite athletic events with broadcast-level cinematography.
Beyond the camera, Anthony is a leader and mentor, having served as President of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and Vice President / Creative Director of Minorities in Sports Next: Penn State. He remains passionate about mentoring young creatives through Blueprint Peer Mentoring and continues to push the boundaries of modern sports storytelling.
